College Board for Advanced Placement (AP)Workshops
The College Board’s Advanced Placement Program® is a national standard for academic rigor and college readiness that provides millions of high school students with the opportunity to engage in college-level course work.
Oklahoma GEAR UP recognizes that a critical factor for improving student achievement on AP® Examinations is to effectively support educators with professional development delivered on-site with workshops, conferences, and institutes, and delivered online through training and update opportunities on AP Central®.
Oklahoma GEAR UP and the College Board have are working together to provide AP and Pre-AP® professional development throughout the state for administrators, Coordinators, Pre-AP middle school teachers, Pre-AP high school teachers, and AP teachers. Registration costs will be waived for all participants in GEAR UP–eligible schools.

The institute will showcase advanced topics through the use of sound pedagogical techniques, provide for professional sharing sessions, and provide materials that participants can integrate into their classroom practice.
