July 31, 2014 – Beginning Grantwriting: The Process of Proposal Preparation

Beginning Grantwriting: The Process is a practical application workshop for those who have not written a grant proposal but are going to try it soon. This is a hands-on workshop where attendees will learn about grantwriting and then actually participate in writing a portion of a proposal and in the critique process. Attendees should bring a laptop and a flash drive. There is no fee. The class is limited to 24.

Lunch is on your own from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. The building is part of Research Park, marked as 840 and located at approximately 8th and Lincoln. Parking is free in the parking garage. See www.okhighered.org/state-system/

Sept. 26, 2014 – Promoting Undergraduate Research Conference for Faculty, Staff and Administrators

Fee: $50 for faculty, $75 for administrators, free for student panelists

The fifth annual Promoting Undergraduate Research Conference for Faculty, Staff and Administrators, sponsored by the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education, will explore the theme, Promoting Undergraduate Research Models at Every Level: Inquiry, Community Engagement, Assessment and Retention. The conference will revisit effective models of inquiry with a focus on community engagement, effective models of assessment of undergraduate research outcomes, and student retention and will examine student research projects illustrating these models.
