February 20, 2009 - Students to Receive Awards for High-Quality Undergraduate Research 
What: Awards ceremony during Research Day at the Capitol for student researchers throughout the state who have prepared poster summaries of their work. First-, second- and third-place awards will be distributed in the research intensive and community colleges categories in addition to a grand prize.
When: 1:30 p.m., Monday, Feb. 23
Where: Oklahoma State Capitol Blue Room, 2nd floor
Who: Eighteen student researchers from 12 Oklahoma colleges and universities; Dr. Glen D. Johnson, Chancellor of the Oklahoma State System of Higher Education; and Dr. Frank Waxman, Oklahoma EPSCoR Director
Why: Research Day at the Capitol is a celebration of the excellent undergraduate student research that is conducted on Oklahoma’s college campuses. It is an annual event sponsored by the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education, the Oklahoma Experimental Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (EPSCoR) and the National Science Foundation.
