Where:
State Capitol, 4th floor rotunda
Background:
Longo will be in Oklahoma City participating in the state’s kickoff of the national “Raise Your Voice” campaign. He will be attending the VOICE (Vocal Oklahomans in Civic Engagement) luncheon beginning at 11:30 a.m. at the State Capitol (4th floor rotunda) hosted by Oklahoma Campus Compact and the University of Central Oklahoma. Following the luncheon, he will spend the rest of Monday afternoon and Tuesday morning in Oklahoma City.
Gov. Brad Henry will sign a proclamation during the luncheon declaring the week of Feb. 16-22 as Civic Engagement Week – A Week of Action in Oklahoma, and students serving on the Collegiate VOICE Committee will present state legislators with a public issue statement from students addressing their commitment to civic engagement.
