EVENT: NOC ARTS ADVENTURE 2003 Explore the world of creative arts at Arts Adventure 2003, a fine arts camp for area mid-high and high school students, coming this summer to Northern Oklahoma College Tonkawa. Registrations are now being accepted to the camp, which will be held July 28-Aug.1 for students entering Grades 6 through 12. Classes are available in the areas of computer graphics, concert band, jazz band, painting and drawing, performance/story telling, photography, sculpture/mixed media, vocal performance or world dance. New this summer is a penny whistle (Irish flute) class. From these areas each student will choose one morning class, which meets from 9 a.m. to noon, and one afternoon class, which meets from 1 to 4 p.m. Registration forms may be downloaded from the college website at www.north-ok.edu. Since many of the classes have limited enrollment, students should register as soon as possible to ensure their first choices. Information about group transportation is available upon request. Camp tuition is $135 for the week with partial and full scholarships available based on financial need. All payments are due by July 1. Students wanting to apply for scholarships should indicate their interest on the registration form and return the form by June 16. Financial support for Arts Adventure is provided through various funding from numerous individuals and businesses throughout the Kay County area.
