State Regents Name New Associate Vice Chancellor for The Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education announced that Tony Hutchison will be the new associate vice chancellor for strategic planning and analysis,. Hutchison spent three years as the director of the Oklahoma Office of State Finance. In that position, he served as the chief financial officer of the state of Oklahoma and was responsible for developing the state’s budget. Before becoming director of OSF, Hutchison was the Oklahoma State Senate director of operations and planning and the director of economic research and policy analysis. He has also held senior level positions with the Council of Governors’ Policy Advisors and the National Conference of State Legislatures. Hutchison has extensive experience in fiscal, research, data and policy analysis and in legislative processes. He has published more than 30 articles, papers and books on public finance and other policy topics. “Tony Hutchison will be an outstanding addition to the staff of the State Regents,” Chancellor Glen D. Johnson said. “He has the skills and experiences that will allow him to really hit the ground running and become an invaluable contributor to our continued success.” Hutchison graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1981 with a bachelor’s degree in history and received his master’s in public administration in 1983.
