OKC Community College president announces retirement


OKC Community College President Dr. Robert P. Todd

Oklahoma City Community College President Robert P. Todd announced his retirement effective March 1, 2006, due to health reasons. In a statement released by Dr. Todd, he noted that it is with great sadness he is retiring from his employment with the College. Dr. Todd has been with the institution in administrative positions since the College opened in 1972. He served as president the past ten years.

OCCC Board of Regents Chair Helen Camey said Todd has established an outstanding level of academic excellence at the College and has positioned it as a dynamic and innovative leader in the community and state. “We are forever grateful for his outstanding service and dedication. The College will be establishing ways to celebrate and recognize Dr. Todd’s distinguished presidency at Oklahoma City Community College.”


Dr. Paul Sechrist


On September 12 OCCC Board of Regents appointed Dr. Paul W. Sechrist as acting president. Dr. Sechrist was currently serving as the provost/vice president for Academic Affairs. He has been with the College in administrative roles since 1995. Regent Camey said the Board values Sechrist’s leadership as the College continues its mission in providing valuable resources to our students and our community.
