High School Juniors – Reminder
As you are wrapping up your junior year, there are some things to keep in mind. We want to provide you with some important reminders about Oklahoma’s Promise.
Don’t forget you must take the required college prep courses and achieve a 2.5 GPA BOTH overall and in the required courses in order to receive the Oklahoma’s Promise scholarship. Check with your counselor to make sure you are on track.
Also, as you enter your senior year, keep in mind there will be a second family income check when you start college to ensure that you still meet the Oklahoma’s Promise income criteria. This second check will be verified through FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid), so make sure you fill out the FAFSA forms next January!
- How does the second family income check work?
- Do I have to complete an application for federal financial aid (FAFSA – Free Application for Federal Student Aid)?
