Why: To hear an update on Campus Safety: Goal 2010, review the preliminary results of the August progress report survey and discuss the Sept. 10, 2010 National Incident Management System (NIMS) Compliance Forum at Oklahoma City Community College.

Background: Gov. Brad Henry created CLASS by an Executive Order in April 2007 following the Virginia Tech shootings. On Feb. 12, 2008, at the request of the task force, Gov. Henry extended the activities of the task force for the purpose of implementing the recommendations of its final report and continuing to review and evaluate safety and security at higher education and career technology campuses and make recommendations for modifications as needed.
