The Single Mothers Academic Resource Team (SMART) will host the Moms 2 College Fair – a free, festive, educational information forum designed to help single-parent college students obtain a college degree.

The college fair is scheduled for Thursday, May 14 from 4. to 7 p.m. at the Oklahoma State University-Oklahoma City’s Student Center, 900 N. Portland Ave.

University financial aid counselors and community service agencies will be on hand to assist non-traditional students in the metro with a broad range of services from how to complete an online financial aid application to sharing strategies of how to manage college classes and a household, while meeting the needs of their children.

There will be free pizza and treats for the kids, so be sure to come and join the fun and take advantage of this free college informational opportunity. All activities are open to the public.

“We want to identify and advocate for those single parents who want a degree, and this event will serve as a pathway for them to complete their education,” said Erin Taylor, SMART coordinator.
