Rose State College Announces Seventh President

Dr. Jeanie Webb, Rose State College's seventh president. On Feb. 28, the Rose State College Board of Regents announced that Dr. Jeanie S. Webb was chosen as the seventh president of the college. Webb will assume her duties July 1, 2013, upon the retirement of Dr. Terry D. Britton.

Board of Regents Announces Cameron University Presidential Search Committee

The University of Oklahoma Board of Regents has named a 14-member presidential search committee to recommend candidates for the Cameron presidency. Current President Cindy Ross, who is in her 11th year as CU leader, announced on Jan. 15 her wish to retire, effective this summer.

Jay Hanan explains the new body armor he invented. Military troops and law enforcement professionals could soon be wearing stronger body armor designed by a professor at Oklahoma State University–Tulsa.
Jay Hanan, associate professor of mechanical and aerospace engineering, has been working to design a composite plate that would be added to current body armor designs to increase protection for soldiers in the field.

OU Law Ranked Among Top 15 “Best Law Schools” in National Survey

The University of Oklahoma College of Law has been named one of the top 15 “Best Law Schools” in the nation by National Jurist magazine. OU is the only Oklahoma law school and is among such institutions as Yale, Stanford, Harvard, the University of California, Berkeley and the University of Virginia.

Olympic Sculptor to Memorialize Te Ata

The bronze  monument of Te Ata to be displayed at USAO. With more than 75 sculptures gracing the campuses of 30 universities, Jon Hair is bringing his artistic mastery to Oklahoma to capture the likeness of “Oklahoma treasure” Te Ata Fisher in monumental bronze on the campus of the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma.
