John McArthur Named Cameron University President

Dr. John McArthur will be Cameron University's new president.Dr. John McArthur has been named Cameron University’s 17th president, effective July 1. He will replace Dr. Cindy Ross, who earlier this year announced her intention to retire this summer.

Dr. James South Named SWOSU Vice President of Academic Affairs

Chapel Creek Winery, located on the Redlands Community College Darlington campus, recently earned the Outstanding Event Redbud Merit Award presented by the Oklahoma Travel Industry Association. The Redbud Awards ceremony is an annual event recognizing Oklahoma tourism attractions, convention and visitors bureaus, chambers of commerce, advertising agencies, event managers and regional marketing organizations for outstanding efforts to serve and promote Oklahoma's tourism industry.

State Regents Receive Funding for Oklahoma Colleges, Universities

The Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education recently approved $988.5 million in state appropriations for the state system of higher education for FY 2014. This represents a $33.3 million or 3.5 percent increase from the FY 2013 appropriation.
