Aggies Axe Out Cancer 5K/10K race

The Cameron University Student Wellness Center and the Cameron University Fitness Center are hosting Aggies Axe Out Cancer, a 5K/10K race, on Saturday, June 18 at 10 a.m. at Elmer Thomas Park in Lawton. Pre-registration is $25 or $20 for students. The 5K is open to walkers as well as runners. Proceeds will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. The race takes place on a flat, fast course around and through Elmer Thomas Park. The 5K race will make one loop, and the 10K race will make two loops. The course has been certified by USA Track & Field (USATF). Accurate timing will be provided by Breakaway Racing utilizing the new Jaguar Timing Disposable Chip.

Participants can pick up their packets at the Cameron University Fitness Center on Friday, June 17, from 3-7 p.m. and at the race site on Saturday, June 18, from 7:30-9 a.m.

All registrations received on or before June 13 will be guaranteed a T-shirt. After June 13, registration will be $30.
