OCALD Minutes

Minutes of the April 27, 2000 meeting
OLA Conference, Adams Mark Hotel, Tulsa

Freeman announced that the ballot for voting on the At-Large position would be sent to the membership electronically the week of May 1.

Wilbur Stolt reported that he has requested three proposals from NewsBank. The current subscription period for this product runs until end of June. There is no money from the legislature for this product in the coming renewal year. Members choosing to continue will be responsible for the full cost. NewsBank is to provide a quote on the three options by May 9. The membership will decide at the May OCALD meeting which option to select for the coming year.

Ed Johnson reported on UCITA in Oklahoma. UCITA has been sent to conference and will probably remain there through the end of this legislative session.

Freeman announced that Beverly Jones will retire from Southwestern Oklahoma State University on June 30. She also announced that Wilbur Stolt has accepted the directorship at the University of North Dakota library.

Anne Prestamo provided a presentation on netLibrary.

The next OCALD meeting will be Tuesday, May 16, 2000 at 1:00 p.m.
