What Is the Child Development Associate (CDA)?

The CDA is a national credential awarded by the Council for Professional Recognition to child care professionals who have successfully completed the CDA assessment process. The education component for the CDA can be met through Pathway training or nine credit hours of child development or early childhood education.

What Is the Child Care Professional (CCP)?

The CCP is a national credential awarded by the National Early Childhood Program Accreditation Commission Inc. to child care professionals who have successfully demonstrated knowledge of early childhood development and skills in working with young children. One hundred and fifty (150) of the 180 clock hours for the CCP education component can be met through Pathway training.

Who Can Get the Assessment Scholarship and How Much Is It?

The Scholars program provides an assessment scholarship to eligible child care professionals for the national CDA or CCP credential. The scholarship assists with the assessment fee.
