In April 2004, the Oklahoma Legislature passed HB 2197, which requires state agencies to make electronic information technology accessible. Oklahoma has developed state standards on accessibility for information technology, based on existing Section 508 standards. Section 4.3 of the Oklahoma Information Technology Accessibility Standards addresses accessibility requirements for web-based intranet and internet information and applications.
