Why: To demonstrate the value and importance of our state system of higher education to Oklahoma’s current and future workforce development and economic growth, to celebrate the Governor and Legislature’s ongoing support of the Oklahoma’s Promise program, and to recognize recipients of the Distinguished Service Award for Higher Education for their steadfast leadership and support during the 2024 legislative session
