The Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education and participating Oklahoma State System of Higher Education institutions have signed an Advanced Standing Agreement with the U.S. Navy to award college credits for specific technical education and training courses and job experience successfully completed while serving in the U.S. Navy.
These credits are combined with credits from a participating state system Oklahoma college or university or technology center and are applied toward an Associate of Applied Science degree.
Program participants pay in-state tuition plus applicable course fees. Participants may take traditional on-campus or distance learning courses provided by participating Oklahoma colleges and universities to meet degree requirements. This benefit also extends to spouses and dependent children.
Who’s Eligible?
- Current active-duty U.S. Navy personnel
- Students who plan to enlist in the U.S. Navy
- Students who sign a commitment to the U.S. Navy Delayed Entry Program
- Past members of the U.S. Navy
- Dependents and spouses of active-duty U.S. Navy personnel
Future, current and past members of the U.S. Navy are eligible to receive up to 30 hours of college credit for the training and job experience that will be received or has been received in the U.S. Navy.
