About the State Regents
The Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education is the statewide coordinating board for the state's 25 colleges and universities, 10 constituent agencies, and one university center. The State Regents is a nine-member board, with members appointed by the governor of Oklahoma and confirmed by the Oklahoma Senate to serve a nine-year term.
