Heroes Promise Scholarship
House Bill 1343 became effective July 1, 2011, creating a special tuition scholarship for children of Oklahoma military personnel who were killed in action after Jan. 1, 2000.

National Guard Tuition Waiver
The Oklahoma National Guard Tuition Waiver was established as an incentive for qualified young men and women to join the Oklahoma National Guard and as a means to retain skilled, productive citizens within the state.

Federal Student Aid for Military Families
The U.S. Department of Education has several resources available for military families in the areas of scholarships and loan repayment, including the Financial Aid Toolkit for Military Families.

Folds of Honor
A nonprofit organization dedicated to providing educational opportunities otherwise unavailable to this most deserving group of heroic American citizens.

American Legion Scholarships
The American Legion offers a number of scholarships and other resources to assist young people in their pursuit of higher education. There are opportunities for everyone, including relatives of wartime veterans and participants in Legion programs.

OCAP (Oklahoma College Assistance Program)
The Oklahoma College Assistance Program (OCAP), formerly known as the Oklahoma Guaranteed Student Loan Program, provides college access, aid awareness, financial literacy and student loan management programs and services that benefit students, parents, schools and community partners.
